Who Are We?

The Black Sheep Delegation is a group of private citizens who are concerned about the systematic disenfranchisement of Democratic voters in two important swing states during the 2008 presidential primary. The size of these states is of no concern to us. We would be just as concerned if Rhode Island and Delaware voters were being dismissed. This petition is not in support of any one candidate, and we are not affiliated with any candidate's campaign.

I, the Webmaster, am a Hillary Clinton supporter and I've donated approximately $400 to her campaign. But this isn't about her. It's about the millions of people who voted for a candidate in the Florida and Michigan Democratic primaries. Neither candidate will be able to win the general election without the voters of these two states. If we are disenfranchised now, we'll be disillusioned in November.

Our goal is to obtain a minimum of 10,000 50,000 signatures and deliver this petition to Governor Dean prior to the end of the primary season. We will not rest until the delegates of these states are seated at the Democratic National Convention this August.
